In brief, you should know the following about our firm: Our objective is to provide quality accounting , tax, and management advisory services to our clients. To this end I have elected to limit my professional practice to bookkeeping and payroll services, income tax and estate planning services and business management and planning services.

I received my accounting degree from Troy University (formerly Troy State University) in December 1969.  My first professional position was with a large multi national accounting firm in Chattanooga, Tn. where I worked until 1975, at which time I joined the staff of a large CPA firm in Montgomery, AL.  With the Montgomery firm I became a partner in 1977 and remained in a senior level ownership position until 2010, when I retired from that position and started my own practice in Tallassee, AL by assuming the full ownership of that firms Tallassee office.  During my professional career I have worked with many clients in a variety of business and personal engagements and have a vast array of knowledge and experience. 

My firm provides bookkeeping services, preparation services, income tax preparation and planning services, business consulting services, and estate and financial planning services. We can also assist our clients in resolving day to day operating issues with their business.

Our bookkeeping services include assisting with all of your bookkeeping and payroll functions.  We can provide a lock and key bookkeeping function where you would provide use with your various input documents each month such as bank statements, check stubs, sales and revenue documents, etc and our bookkeeping personnel will post all of your transactions into a full general ledger system, reconcile your bank statement to your general ledger, print a detail general ledger, print a balance sheet and income statement, prepare monthly sales tax and other governmental reports, and periodically review with you the financial results of your business.  If you choose to post your own books and use our other services you would provide us with backup copies of your QuickBooks or Sage 50 software. We will restore your data and review your transactions and suggest adjustments that need to be made during the year and at year-end.  We feel that it is important to work with our clients during the year to insure they understand what their financial results are before the end of the year and consult with them in making decisions for year-end planning such as acquisition of equipment, payments of bonuses, and timing of inventory purchases.

Payroll services include full service payroll preparation with necessary payroll tax reports as they become due.  We can either print payroll checks each pay period or print payroll stubs from which you can manually write your own payroll checks.  We also prepare all payroll related monthly, quarterly and annual payroll related reports.

If you choose to prepare your own payroll checks, we can still assist you with preparing and filing all required payroll related reports.
